Chief Vigilance Officer

In the interest of ensuring effective vigilance oversight and promoting transparency within the University, the Registrar, Sri Venkateshwara University, is hereby assigned the additional charge of Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) with immediate effect.

Objectives of the Vigilance Cell
  • Uphold integrity, transparency, and accountability in all academic, administrative, and financial operations.
  • Detect and prevent corruption, malpractices, or misconduct at any level.
  • Ensure strict compliance with established rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote awareness and ethical conduct among faculty, staff, and students.
  • Provide a confidential mechanism for reporting vigilance-related concerns.
Functions of the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO)
  • Monitor and supervise vigilance activities across departments.
  • Receive, examine, and investigate complaints related to misconduct or irregularities.
  • Coordinate with statutory and external vigilance agencies when required.
  • Conduct reviews, inspections, and audits to maintain transparency.
  • Implement preventive vigilance through workshops and awareness campaigns.
Complaint Mechanism
  • Complaints may be submitted in writing or via official email to the Vigilance Cell.
  • Complaints must include accurate facts and evidence for proper review.
  • Anonymous or frivolous complaints shall not be entertained.
  • All complaints are treated with confidentiality and due diligence as per University norms.
