SEDG Cell


Sri Venkateshwara University, Pakyong, Sikkim is deeply committed to promoting inclusivity, equality, and empowerment. The Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Group (SEDG) Cell has been constituted to support students from economically and socially underprivileged backgrounds by ensuring access to educational opportunities, financial aid, academic guidance, and skill enhancement initiatives.

Vision

To create an inclusive academic environment that empowers socio-economically disadvantaged students to achieve excellence, self-reliance, and leadership through education, skill development, and equal opportunities.

Mission
  • To identify and support students from SEDG and EWS categories through targeted initiatives.
  • To provide academic, financial, and psychosocial assistance that promotes holistic development.
  • To collaborate with government agencies, industries, NGOs, and community organizations to extend learning and employment opportunities.
  • To build awareness about equality, inclusiveness, and social responsibility within the university community.
